Naoki Nakagawa is a unique Japanese artisan who is one of a few individuals in the world able to make a pair of spectacles from beginning to end. |
|
At the age of 18, Naoki started working as a salesperson for glasses, but back then he could not find any pairs that he really wanted to wear, and so he made the decision to start training to be a truly spectacles artisan in Fukui, the home of eye glasses in Japan. In 2004, after 8 years of working and building a base of knowledge in manufacturing, designing and retail, nackymade was born. |

| Nackymade is all about glasses that fit well, are designed creatively (with such unique shapes such as ones with dinosaurs) and crafted with love and care. Nakagawa respects the traditional way of making spectacles using the best materials such as Japanese plastic acetate and European antiques, and also he always tries to create something new and interesting and develops even the materials in his own way. |

| Nakagawa has made over 5000 spectacles for his clients of whom Yoko Ono is one. Now is the time for wearers around the world to be made happy by wearing his unconventional and original glasses. |

Ltd" 2011 Jul: started trunk shows at KEVIN SEAH in Singapore. 2011 Nov: M-T-O online shop at The Armoury was opened. 2011 Dec: trunk show at Rook & Raven Gallery in London, UK. 2012 Feb: R-T-W becomes available at The Armoury(HK) and Drakes(UK). 2012 Mar: redesigned the shop and workshop. |
